CHAMP
Children and Adolescents
are my Priority

In collaboration with mothers2mothers (m2m), Zoë-Life is providing technical assistance, using the KidzAlive model, to the CHAMP programme in Mpumalanga, South Africa. This project is funded by USAID and was launched in March 2019.

Our strategy

m2m Partnership

m2m are a diverse international team working towards 1 goal – ending AIDS and creating bright futures for women and families across sub-Saharan Africa. They work from almost 500 sites and 20 offices, across 10 countries and have a team of more than 2000 people. m2m use a peer-to-peer proven model and innovation to achieve programme objectives.

Peer-to-Peer Model

The peer-to-peer model was used to contribute to improving the wellbeing of orphans and other vulnerable children and adolescents in the Mpumalanga Province in South Africa. Zoë-Life working with m2m and partner Grassroots Soccer, CHAMP will support these vulnerable children to access healthcare services, start on antiretroviral treatment, and remain in care. Another critical element of CHAMP is strengthening the capacity of families and communities to care for these young people.

Training and Mentorship

Zoë-Life is the lead technical assistance partner and has capacitated CHAMP implementers and staff through training and mentorship of KidzAlive, and have piloted the new YouThrive safe programme to support children and adolescents living with HIV and families.
